OHAKEA, New Zealand (Nov. 14, 2013) – Multinational service members begin recovering the parachute from tactically-air-dropped cargo which landed just east of the drop zone during Exercise Kiwi Flag at the New Zealand Defence Force Raumi Drop Zone. Recovery personnel from the United States Air Force, Royal Australian Air Force, Republic of Singapore Armed Forces, Royal New Zealand Air Force and New Zealand Army make their way to the main parachute amid the rolling sand dunes nestled between a pine forest and the coastline. Kiwi Flag is a multilateral Royal New Zealand Air Force-sponsored tactical airlift exercise comprising air assets from the USAF, RNZAF, RAAF, RSAF and French Armed Forces of New Caledonia.
