A French Marine of the Second Infantry Regiment of the French Marine Corps (left) is pictured on an exercise with a Royal Marine of 3 Commando Brigade.

The marines were conducting a WADER training package on the French island of Corsica. The exercise saw Royal Marines from 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines, train alongside their French counterparts in amphibious landing techniques from British craft.

Corsican Lion provides the first major naval exercise that examines and tests the Maritime element of the Combined Joint Expeditionary Force by demonstrating its ability to project power from the sea.
